CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

This experience is a private leadership development sanctuary governed by strict confidentiality. It is designed to support disciplined self-reflection and meaningful application of leadership concepts within your family system. As such, the experience may surface sensitive or private information related to individual participants, their families, or matters involving shared assets.

However, disclosure is never required.

If you choose to share, you agree to do so in a way that protects your privacy and the privacy of others (for example: omitting individuals’ names, company names, locations, and other identifying details).

Confidentiality is a condition of participation. During the program, you will integrate insights into your own life and leadership. We will also explore ways to share your learning through how you engage and in other appropriate forms — without disclosing confidential information about the experience or other participants.

WHAT IS CONFIDENTIAL

“Confidential Information” includes:

• The identity of participants, including the fact that someone is participating.

• Everything shared in group sessions, 1:1 sessions, the portal, or program communications.

• All personal, family, enterprise, financial, legal, professional, or identifying information shared by a participant or staff member, whether stated directly or implied through details.

• Program materials provided inside the experience (unless explicitly labeled for public sharing).

MY COMMITMENTS

I agree that I will:

• Keep Confidential Information strictly confidential and not disclose it to anyone outside the experience, including family members, advisors, staff, friends, or colleagues.

• Not use AI notetaker tools, third-party software, or other means to record, screenshot, photograph, transcribe, or otherwise capture any portion of the experience (audio, video, chat, portal posts, or materials).

• Not discuss or reference another participant’s identity, story, or circumstances outside the experience, even without using her name.

• Use discretion in my own sharing by keeping details non-identifying and “minimum necessary” for my learning and reflection.

● Not share my access to the password-protected portal with assistants, staff, family or others. If I choose to use a password manager, I will not grant anyone else access to my portal password.

● Immediately raise directly and discreetly with Thomasina Williams any concern that a breach of confidentiality has or may have occurred. I understand that any participant who breaches confidentiality will be removed from the program without refund.

SANKOFA LEGACY ADVISORS’ COMMITMENTS

The imperative to maintain confidentiality will be reinforced throughout the experience. This Confidentiality Agreement will be posted in the portal as a continual reminder. Sankofa Legacy Advisors will:

• Keep all Confidential Information strictly confidential and not disclose it to third parties.

• Not use AI notetaker tools, third-party software, or other means to record, screenshot, photograph, transcribe, or otherwise capture any portion of the experience (audio, video, chat, portal posts, or materials).

• Not discuss or reference participants’ identities, stories, or circumstances outside the experience, even without using their names.

What happens if confidentiality is breached

If a concern about a potential breach of confidentiality is brought to our attention, we will review it promptly and discreetly with the participant(s) involved and make a good-faith determination to protect the privacy of participants and the integrity of the experience. If a determination is made that confidentiality has been violated, we will immediately remove the participant responsible from the program, without refund.

Legal Exceptions

In rare circumstances, Sankofa Legacy Advisors may be required by court order or law to disclose limited information. If such a situation arises, Sankofa Legacy Advisors will make a good-faith effort to preserve participants’ privacy while complying with any legal obligations.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES
These principles are grounded in the family systems approach to leadership development that underpins this experience. They guide how we engage — with ourselves, each other, and the work.
1. Confidentiality is foundational
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others and honor the integrity of the group.
2. Disclosure is optional
You are never required to identify personal, family, or enterprise details.
3. Move at your own pace
You decide when and how you engage -- within the group and within your family.
4. Focus on what you have the most influence over
Yourself. Develop the awareness, courage, and composure to engage deliberately when family tensions rise, and model leadership that increases the likelihood your family will stay together across generations.
5. Speak and act for yourself
Use “I” statements to define what you think, what matters to you, and what you will and will not do — and then act accordingly. Stay anchored in your own perspectives and choices, and avoid speaking for or attributing motives to others.
6. See the system
Strive to understand context and patterns of interaction rather than locate problems within individuals.
7. Resist the impulse to "fix"
Support others in building their own capacity. Ask thoughtfulquestions that help them clarify their thinking,  consider their options, and decide for themselves how to proceed.
